Here at Divsign Web Design in Devon, we know that designing websites can be frustrating at times, especially if you're not sure what you are doing, or if you are new to using Wix's Editor system.
We've compiled a list of the top 5 reasons our customers need help with their Wix web sites:
1. I've started so I'll finish
Wix is really easy to get started and even produce something that looks alright upon first glance, but we often find that once it gets to the real nitty-gritty of site design, layout and function, people just get stuck. The initial enthusiasm at getting your own website created wanes in direct proportion to the technical complexity of creating a website. This stuff is hard, unless you really know what you're doing!
2. Jargon Schmargon
Yes, we web designers use a lot of jargon. Sometimes it just can't be helped! If you don't know your header from your footer then getting your website up and running can be a Sisyphean task. If you're getting stuck in Wix tutorial videos on YouTube, How-to guides on SEO, or Top 10 Lists about nothing in particular (ahem), outsourcing to a knowledgeable website contractor will save you both time and effort.
3. "Improve SEO on Wix Site"
This one combines a little from #1 and a little from #2 - you know that your site should have SEO done on it, but what the bejesus is SEO anyway? So many of our enquiries are from people who want "better" search engine optimisation - without the fundamental understanding of what SEO is and how it is done. Here's a short article on Wix SEO from a Wix SEO Expert (that's me).
4. Elephant in the Room
Here's a fun one. You know your website is crap, but you don't have a clue how to fix it. We've had countless clients come to us who know the Wix site design they have created is substandard; no Wix site is without its issues, but virtually everything can be sorted if you know what is what. Sometimes it means starting from scratch, but if that means you get a fully-functioning website then so be it.
5. Elephant Staring in at the Window
Okay, I might be pushing the metaphor slightly, but so many potential clients we approach who have created a Wix site that could be better are quickly convinced on the benefits of using a professional Wix site designer. In Devon, there are thousands of businesses using Wix for their websites, and I would gladly fix each and every one.
